QiGong is the practice
of harmonizing. Breath, muscles, bones, nerves, blood, intention and awareness within us harmonize with each
other and with the awareness and movement around us and when all of this is done naturally
Qi can be said to reside. When we
naturally allow harmony to arise Qi flows in abundance and thus to
practice QiGong is to learn how
to allow. To master QiGong is to allow
this harmony to merge with your clear center and thus is to learn how to be.
QiGong is at the same
time very practical and relevant to our lives today. QiGong breathing can
initiate the relaxation response and QiGong postures and
movements can release a tense body and stored experiences. QiGong can free us
from things which bind us and allow us to be more creative and refreshed. It is relevant for every person in
every job from president to police officer to teacher to CEO to student to parent. The essential knowledge
of QiGong can be learned
rather quickly though it does take time to refine and can be applied to physical and emotional areas of our
lives to immense benefit from relationships to golf, writing and painting to parenting. QiGong teaches us
about how the world works and how we work. QiGong is so powerful
in large part because it is based on experiencing and embracing and ultimately that is what it is all
about.
